About us
Youth Agency for the Advocacy of Roma Culture “ARCA” is a Roma youth non-governmental organization that has been working in the public sector of Ukraine since 2018, focusing its efforts on the development of the Roma youth movement, support and preservation of Roma history and culture, as well as building intercultural dialogue in Ukraine.
Our mission is to promote a positive image of Roma communities in Ukrainian society through education, media, history and culture.

Djanes: Tell Your Story
ARCA and the media project Djanes announce the launch of the youth journalism competition “Djanes: Storytelling Contest”. Our goal is to amplify the voices of a new generation of authors who want to explore journalism through the lenses of identity, memory, and social transformation.
Defenders of Ukraine Day: Honor and Gratitude
On this day, we pay tribute to all those who defend Ukraine — our land, our home, and our shared future. Today, Ukrainian defenders are protecting more than just territory. They are standing up for the right of every ethnic group to live on this land, to preserve their uniqueness and cultural identity.
Babyn Yar Remembrance Day
September 29–30, 1941 — dates forever seared into the collective memory of Ukraine. On those days, nearly 34,000 Jews were murdered by the Nazis in the Babyn Yar ravine in Kyiv. This was one of the largest mass killings of the Holocaust, carried out in just two days. But the tragedy of Babyn Yar did not end there — it continued for years, claiming the lives of tens of thousands of people of various nationalities.

Remembering Together: International Summer School on Roma History in Berlin
Берлін, червень 2025 року. З 10 по 15 червня Молодіжна агенція з адвокації ромської культури «АРКА» у співпраці з Товариством народів, що під загрозою провела в Берліні міжнародну літню школу з історії ромів «Пам’ятаючи разом». Проєкт було профінансовано Фондом EVZ та Федеральним міністерством закордонних справ Німеччини в рамках програми YOUNG PEOPLE remember international. Зібравши 12 учасників з різних країн Європи та України, програма надала унікальну можливість вивчати та осмислювати трагічну історію ромів і сінті у ХХ столітті, зокрема геноцид під час Другої світової війни.
Thematic-Narrative Exhibition “The Invisible”
The Invisible. Resilience: Past and Present of the Roma is a thematic-narrative exhibition about the return of visibility. Once muted, Roma voices today speak boldly, distinctly, and with a rightful claim to equality. At the heart of the exhibition is Roma identity as a form of resistance traced through history: from persecution during the genocide of the Roma in World War II to the strength, visibility, and civic engagement of Roma communities in Ukraine today.

Проєкт гуманітарної та освітньої підтримки у Полтавській та Дніпропетровській областях АРКА за підтримки Українського Жіночого Фонду реалізує програму комплексної підтримки ромських громад. Проєкт спрямований на покращення якості життя, доступу до медицини та розширення можливостей для ромських родин, жінок і молоді у Полтавській та Дніпропетровській областях.
